March 2010 Florida Unemployment Rate Ticks Up
The figures released Friday by the Agency for Workforce Innovation show a marginal increase from February's rate at 12.2 percent. (more)
With more than 1.1 million jobless Floridians, job postings compiled by the Help Wanted OnLine data series totaled 232,200 ads, up about 10 percent from February. That marks the largest over-the-month gain since the series began in 2005.
Despite the high figure, Agency for Workforce Innovation Director Cynthia R. Lorenzo says there are indicators that Florida's economy is on the road to recovery.
